IUD (copper) is a T-shaped piece of plastic about the size of a quarter that is placed inside the uterus to prevent pregnancy covered with copper wire. The copper-coated IUD primarily prevents pregnancy by not allowing the sperm to fertilize the egg.

The Paraguard is a copper Intrauterine Device (IUD) that is a small object that is inserted through the cervix and placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy. The IUD is not noticeable during intercourse. The Paraguard IUD can last up to 10 years.
