Jennifer L. Holcomb RN, FNP, CNM
Westside Women’s Care is pleased to announce the addition of Jen Holcomb, a Certified Nurse Midwife to our practice. Jen comes to us with 7 years experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner and 2½ years experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Most recently Jen has been providing Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner Care at the Colorado Adolescent Maternity Program at the University of Colorado and at the Young Mother’s clinic located in The Children’s Hospital of Denver. Prior to this she was the Clinical Director at Denver Indian Health and Family Services. Besides her clinical role, Jen has also been a clinical preceptor to Nurse Practitioner students, a guest lecturer at Metropolitan State College of Denver, a research assistant and has co-authored a paper on pregnancy.
Jen graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters degree in nursing in 2000, she returned to school in 2004 to earn her Post Masters in Midwifery from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Jen enjoys helping patients make the transition from pregnancy to parenting. She believes it is important to educate and listen to women and their families to ensure a positive pregnancy and birth experience. Jen and her husband spend much of their time with their new son. She also enjoys playing soccer, running and occasionally fly- fishing.
