Julie Stretz
Julie joined WWC in the summer of 2008 as a Childbirth Education
instructor. She has worked with the providers at WWC since 1997
when she came to work at Lutheran as a postpartum nurse. Her
background includes over 8 years of experience as a Labor and
Delivery nurse at Lutheran as well. Though she no longer works
on L&D, she continues to teach fetal monitoring to the L&D
nurses at the hospital. Currently, Julie works in the surgery
center at Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine caring for
infertility patients, and she attends graduate school at UC
Denver, studying to become a Women’s Health nurse practitioner.
Julie is happily married and has two children, both delivered at
Lutheran by WWC doctors and midwifes! When she’s not working or
studying, she enjoys involving herself in her children’s
activities. Her hobbies become whatever the family is involved
in, including raising their new puppy, caring for their variety
of pets (lizards and snake) and basement remodeling. She loves
being a karate and soccer mom!
Julie is passionate about education and loves teaching for WWC.
She strives to make her class both informative and entertaining.
Her goal is to help her patients make informed decisions so they
can actively participate in their care and have the best
delivery experience possible. She loves surrounding herself with
expectant couples and their excitement and energy for what lies
ahead……the wonderful joys of parenthood!
